Join us in supporting JFCS at this time of crisis.
Several months ago we committed to running the 2020 Pittsburgh Half Marathon with Team JFCS to raise money for Jewish Family and Community Services. Although the doors to JFCS' building are closed, the agency never closes. So, of course, we are still going to run our Half Marathon, virtually, on May 3rd.
JFCS' Squirrel Hill Food Pantry continues to distribute food to those most in need. Therapists are using telehealth to continue counseling families, survivors, and community members coping with trauma of 10.27. JFCS staff continue to provide critical services to Holocaust survivors and homebound seniors. The Career Development Center counselors are working remotely to support job seekers. JFCS lawyers are still working to support unaccompanied minors through the immigration process.
As we all face uncertainty, JFCS will continue to be there to help those in need. If you are able, please help support our virtual 13.1 miles. Just a small donation will go a long way to ensuring JFCS is there for our community.
